Where we work in New Jersey
Our facility is at 570 Piermont Rd, Ste 125, Closter, NJ 07624, in northern Bergen County near the Rockland County line. From there our crews reach Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Morris counties inside an ordinary morning, and Union, Middlesex, Somerset and Mercer without much more effort. Monmouth, Ocean and the Shore towns, plus Burlington, Camden and Gloucester in South Jersey, are longer runs that we schedule in blocks so the drive does not eat the day.
Being in state changes what we can offer. We can measure your posts ourselves instead of asking a custodian to do it between periods. We can walk a gym before quoting wall pads and flag the column that sits four feet off the sideline. We can hand a physical color chip to a facilities committee instead of emailing a swatch photo that renders differently on every screen. That kind of hands-on work is most of what we do for school gym padding projects, and it is not something an out of state buyer receiving shipped product can get.

What New Jersey weather does to padding
Indoor gym padding in New Jersey has an easy life compared to anything mounted outside. Outdoor pole pads on a basketball standard in a Monmouth County park, a backstop post at a Bergen County field, or a light pole beside a municipal court in Middlesex County take four seasons of load: summer sun that fades pigment, freeze and thaw cycles that work at seams, and road salt or lawn chemicals thrown onto the bottom edge by plows and mowers. Shore and bayfront sites in Monmouth and Ocean counties add salt air, which is harder on hardware and stitching than it is on the vinyl itself.

Turn the full-length hook and loop closure away from prevailing weather where the layout allows, because a seam facing into a winter northwester is the first thing to open. Specify grommets or edge details that let water drain rather than pool at the base. Municipal recreation departments that pull outdoor pads in November and store them dry through the winter routinely get several more seasons out of the same set than departments that leave them on the standards year round, and that single habit changes the replacement budget more than any spec line does.

New Jersey has a dense mix of buildings that need padding, and they need different things. K-12 district gyms in Essex, Hudson and Union counties tend to need wall pads behind baselines and pole pads on any structural column inside the play area. Older urban schools in particular were built with columns standing inside what later became the court, which is a padding problem the architect never anticipated. Municipal recreation departments in Morris, Somerset and Middlesex counties tend to need outdoor pole pads on basketball standards and dugout or backstop posts. Parish halls, church multipurpose rooms and community centers frequently have exposed mid-floor columns and doors that swing into the play area, so pad layout has to respect egress and door swing before it respects symmetry.

If you are in state, the simpler answer is usually to let us come take the measurements ourselves, especially in a building where the columns are not identical to each other. We see that constantly in older Bergen and Hudson County gyms where two columns thirty feet apart turn out to be different sizes.

School mascots and municipal seals are common on New Jersey orders, and the file formats and proof steps for those are set out on our custom printed pole pads page. Plan the calendar around them. Most district gym work here has to land in the July and August window between the end of summer camps and the start of fall sports, and that window is also when floors get refinished, so padding install often has to be sequenced against a floor contractor. Custom print adds proof and approval time on the front end. A board that approves a purchase in late June is usually working against the season, while one that approves in April is not.

Do you install pole pads and wall pads anywhere in New Jersey?
Yes. Our own crews cover the entire state, from Bergen and Hudson counties down through Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean and the South Jersey counties. Do your pads meet ASTM F2440 for our gym?
We do not claim ASTM F2440 certification, and you should be careful with any supplier who does so casually. Our [materials page](/materials) explains what the standard actually measures. Send us the specification language your district or architect wrote and we will tell you exactly what we can and cannot document for it.
When should a New Jersey school district order to get installed before the season?
Aim to have the purchase order in hand by late spring. Nearly all district gym installs here have to happen in the July and August gap between summer programs and fall sports, that same window is when gym floors get refinished, and custom printed panels add proof and approval time before anything is fabricated. Districts that quote in April get their pick of install dates. Districts that approve in late June are working against the calendar.
